You absolutely can—and many of my clients enjoy being involved in the research. My role isn't to keep you away from inspiration. It's to help you make sense of it. I filter the enormous number of choices, evaluate what fits your particular trip and connect the details into something coherent. Professional advice adds context.
-
I plan everything from individual hotel stays and short escapes to complex international itineraries. Common requests include Europe, milestone celebrations, family and multi-generational travel, safaris, food and wine journeys, cruises, yachts and personalized multi-destination trips.
-
Yes. If you already know where you want to stay, Boutique Host can arrange many luxury hotels, resorts, villas and lodges without requiring full itinerary planning. Depending on the hotel, your reservation may also qualify for travel advisor’s Preferred Partner perks and benefits.
-
Benefits vary by hotel, rate and program but can include things such as daily breakfast, hotel credits, VIP recognition, welcome amenities, upgrades when available and flexible arrival or departure times when available. I never recommend choosing a hotel solely because of the perks. The property has to be right for you first.
-
In many cases, preferred travel-advisor rates are the same flexible rate available directly from the hotel while including additional benefits. There are exceptions, promotions and rate conditions, so I compare the relevant options rather than assuming one rate is always best. My goal is always to find the best rate for you. You will never pay more by utilizing my services.

Complex custom itinerary planning may require a professional planning fee based on the scope and complexity of the journey. Any applicable fee will be discussed before planning begins.
-
Designing a highly personalized itinerary involves professional time beyond making reservations. Research, itinerary organization, supplier communication, logistics, revisions, coordination, documentation and support all happen behind the scenes. The fee reflects that expertise and planning time.
-
Travel advisors may receive commission from hotels and other eligible travel suppliers. Including when booking business class flights. Professional planning fees, when applicable, compensate for the significant research and advisory work involved in creating custom travel.

Yes. Premium Economy and Business Class flights. Air can be incorporated into many full-service trips depending on the itinerary and planning scope. We can discuss what level of air support makes sense during the planning process.
-
Yes. I can advise on and arrange luxury ocean and river cruises, expedition journeys and yacht experiences, as well as pre- and post-cruise hotels and land itineraries.
-
Yes. Villas can work beautifully for families, groups and longer stays. The right villa depends on far more than the number of bedrooms, so location, staffing, layout, service and local support all matter. Airbnb does not fall under my travel planning services.
-
Yes. Group and multi-generational travel is an area where professional coordination can be especially valuable because multiple rooms, schedules, ages and preferences often need to come together.
-
Possibly. Tell me what you've already confirmed when you inquire. I'll determine whether the existing arrangements can be incorporated comfortably into the planning scope.

Earlier is generally better for highly sought-after hotels, villas, guides, cruises, safaris and peak travel periods. For major international trips, beginning six to twelve months in advance is often helpful. Certain journeys should be planned even earlier. That said, if you're traveling sooner, ask. Often wonderful trips come together quickly.
-
One of the benefits of working with an advisor is having someone who understands your itinerary and can help coordinate with the appropriate travel partners when plans require attention. And rescue the day! The exact support structure varies by trip and destination.
-
Boutique Host combines personalized travel planning with more than two decades of luxury hospitality experience and a strong emphasis on firsthand knowledge. I intentionally keep the process personal. You work with the advisor who knows your journey rather than being passed through a large team or call-center planners. And ideally, that relationship continues long after the first trip.
