Must See/Visit/Stay HERE in Laguna Beach

Named as one of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World for a reason, The Ranch at Laguna Beach has it all. If you have made it here, congratulations, you have arrived where you want to be, trust me. Nestled in the majestic Aliso and Wood Canyons, this coastal boutique hotel is family friendly and offers a spacious spa, 9-hole golf course, delicious dining and luxury cottage accommodations on an iconic piece of land where the canyons meet the sea. The property is also highly regarded for their sustainable practices and nature preservation (deer crossing!).

Relaxed vibes and outdoor-living ambiance carries you from the comfort of your room to the lively patio, often featuring local, live music. Forget about ever needing to leave the premises, everything you need has already been anticipated for you.

The 9-hole Ben Brown’s Golf Course is perhaps the most serene and natural setting in which I’ve played golf, complete with wildlife watching. The course is carved into the naturally dramatic and lush walls of Aliso and Wood Canyons, with stunning views and elevation changes on every fairway.

*BH Insider Tip: Try barefoot golf on this casual and laid-back executive course—it’s highly encouraged!

For dining, I recommend The Harvest. Known for comfort cuisine with a farm-to-table ethos. Picturesque from every angle, whether enjoying your perfectly-prepared cuisine indoors or sipping your espresso martini outdoors. Take time to relish the nature-infused sense of place, and allow yourself to be spoiled by top notch service and staff.

Lastly, breathe, balance, bend at The Sycamore Spa. May we recommend “Garden Sage Scrub” for your spa hour and a half, and for activities we chose pool-side yoga hour, a beginning yoga class that just so happened to include hummingbirds. Ahhhh.
