As the vibrant and busy spring season approaches, Boutique Host understands the importance of maintaining the highest standards, with cleanliness being our top priority. In anticipation of our peak rental season, we follow a 36-point checklist (get you copy) to ensure our properties are in optimal condition.

Our thorough cleaning regimen includes quarterly deep cleaning, checking AC and fridge filters, appliances, plumbing, and addressing any wear or tear on furniture (Pro tip: Investing in high-quality, durable furniture is always a good investment.). Utilizing tools like the iRoomba vacuum allows us to reach every corner, ensuring a dust-free environment.

A meticulous inventory check of the kitchen ensures that no plate or fork is missing, with replacements provided as needed. Pillows and mattresses are equipped with protective covers, washed quarterly (additional wash as needed during regular turns), and leather furniture receives special conditioning. We collaborate with local vendors for grout and shower deep cleaning. Commercial-grade cleaning is essential to maintain pristine surfaces and extend the life of a rental, and we perform exterior window, patio, and garage washes at least twice a year.

Our cleaning team undergoes a rigorous three-month training program, emphasizing not only the best cleaning methods and products, but also effective communication. They act as the eyes and ears on the property, promptly addressing or reporting any issues they encounter. Additionally, guest feedback is vital, and we incorporate suggestions as soon as possible across all of our properties to enhance guest comfort. The owner, Gerda, is personally involved in quarterly cleanings and is responsive to unique requests, ensuring a personalized touch.

Spring typically brings higher occupancy, and our preparation minimizes maintenance issues. Immediate attention is given to any unexpected challenges, provided guests are comfortable with on-the-spot resolution. Our commitment to hospitality extends beyond the property, as illustrated by personal anecdotes of going the extra mile for guests during their stay. We don’t wait for issues to arise; we have a program in place to prevent them.

As the busy season unfolds, requests for early check-ins and late checkouts become more frequent. Our accommodating approach, approving complimentary early arrivals and late check-outs when possible, reflects our commitment to guest satisfaction and loyalty. We strive to create an atmosphere where guests feel not just hosted, but welcomed like friends and family, respecting their space while seeking opportunities to exceed expectations.
